{"id":23,"date":"2012-10-25T10:07:09","date_gmt":"2012-10-25T08:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/?page_id=23"},"modified":"2020-08-04T09:03:17","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T07:03:17","slug":"milbenacari","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/en\/leistungen\/taxonomie\/milbenacari\/","title":{"rendered":"Mites &#8211; Acari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Important groups of \u201esoil mites\u201c are the Oribatida, Gamasina, Uropodina, Astigmata and Prostigmata &#8211; in soil samples Oribatida and Gamasina usually dominate.<\/p>\n<h2>Moss mites &#8211; Oribatida<\/h2>\n<p>I identify Oribatida of agricultural and grassland sites on species level. These sites are often dominated by species like Tectocepheus velatus sarekensis oder Opiella nova which are resistant against mechanical disturbances.<\/p>\n<p>Oribatida are characterized by their strong sclerotisation and feed on a wide range of food sources like litter and soil fungi. However, some oribatid species also feed on other soil animals as nematodes.<\/p>\n<h2>Gamasina mites &#8211; Gamasina<\/h2>\n<p>In contrast to Oribatida, Gamasina are typical predators feeding on several soil fauna groups as Collembola and Nematoda. Large Gamasina taxa as the genus Pergamasus feed on other soil arthropods (e.g. <a title=\"Kurzfl\u00fcgler \u2013 Staphylinidae\" href=\"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/leistungen\/taxonomie\/kurzfluglerstaphylinidae\/\">Collembola<\/a>)<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/wp-content\/uploads\/oppiella_nova_mark_maraun.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatclear\" title=\"Oppiella nova, Oribatida (Foto Mark Maraun)\" src=\"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/wp-content\/uploads\/oppiella_nova_mark_maraun-220x147.jpg\" alt=\"Oppiella nova, Oribatida (Foto Mark Maraun)\" width=\"220\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/wp-content\/uploads\/pergamasus_sp_janet_wissuwa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Gattung Pergamasus sp., Gamasina (Foto Janet Wissuwa)\" src=\"http:\/\/salamon-oekologie.de\/wcm\/wp-content\/uploads\/pergamasus_sp_janet_wissuwa-220x147.jpg\" alt=\"Gattung Pergamasus sp., Gamasina (Foto Janet Wissuwa)\" width=\"220\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important groups of \u201esoil mites\u201c are moss mites (Oribata) and gamasina mites (Gamasina).
