For groups of children and young persons I offer zoological excursions. The children will discover the animal world in their neighborhood (e.g. gardens) as well as in forests and meadows.

One focus is the imparting of ecological knowledge about invertebrates as insects or spiders.

Together with the children I will catch the insects or spiders with the help of tweezers in small vessels to watch them and to discuss their behavior and importance in nature.

The following questions will be discussed:

• Which different species of insects or spiders did we catch? Do these species prefer different food sources? Are there potential predators of the species in the investigated habitat?
• What is the function of these species in nature?
• Did we catch „rare species“?
